and looks like they killed primal rage too -.-
On the other hand, changes in stance + aura of restoration = win

Same here, I'm not getting any reward points and I didn't get the doubles last month. A screw up on anet's side I'm guessing, they'll come sooner or later I hope.

Very interesting, but I am afraid that this does not solve all the problems. Especially in HA, now there is not much reason anymore to take a warrior over a sin. (gogo gwenway) WoWing the ghost now makes less sense, so this might be a good one.
Good thing the turret rangers are gone, but nerfing Read the Wind??? Flail is fine now.
Others skill updates do not really do something.

The tactics skill line was already beaten with an ugly stick enough, ANet should have found another way to either nerf stance monks or buff tactics so warriors (the group who's supposed to be using it) can use it.

Meh, I didn't get double points last month. My best guess is that Anet couldn't bother checking every individual account and decided to penalize everyone, probably if not definitely wrong, but again it's just a guess. Oh well 25 RPs are better than none, better luck next month.

Umm... did you not notice the "disables skill" part? Its the same as distracting blow, with an extra 5s cooldown in exchange for a conditional disable.
Sounds fine to me.
A lot of the skill updates are fairly okay. Aura of restoration change was unexpected and nice. I will be nice to be able to use it for something besides a cover enchant in PvE.
And all the people complaining about not getting free money should really just stop. I mean, I got short changed with z-keys too, but its free money/title points, so just stop complaining. Prices are already starting to tick down due to oversupply.

Turret rangers most commonly used BA, tbh.
And have fun stopping PS sins from killing you Monks. You're only defense just got nerfed :/

Might have been nice for them to have gotten this in before the lucky/unlucky W/E... But hey, elite tome drops out of those would be nice (wondered why I never saw tomes there, after doing at least 300 chests - but see lots in factions/prophesies)...

you actually count the cracked armor conditional? let me guess, you think body blow is a reliable source of deep wound because of the same conditional.
yep, definitely should run a slower recharging interrupt, just for the off chance that i'll interrupt a target that JUST HAPPENS to have cracked armor also.
not to mention, distracting blow is AoE. THAT conditional effect is much more likely to be met.

The interrupt is still unconditional though. Please don't troll with theorycraft an hour after an update declaring a skill "useless" when you haven't even been able to see how it works.

Fine. SR has been needing this for a while now.

* Aura of Restoration: decreased Energy cost to 5; increased recharge to 12. Functionality changed to: "For 60 seconds, you gain 0..1 Energy and are healed for 200..500% of the Energy cost each time you cast a spell."

lol wut.

Fine.

But these 3 nerfs are still decent. IMO a cast increase would have been better on WOD then a recharge increase.

* Defensive Stance: decreased duration to 1..5 seconds; decreased armor gain to +10.
* Disciplined Stance: decreased duration to 1..4 seconds; decreased armor gain to +10.
* Distracting Strike: functionality changed to: "If Distracting Strike hits, it deals no damage and interrupts target foe's action. If target foe has Cracked Armor, that skill is disabled for 20 seconds."
* Flail: decreased duration to 1..15 seconds.
* Healing Signet: increased healing to 82..172.
* Primal Rage: increased recharge to 15 seconds.
* Shield Stance: decreased duration to 1..6 seconds.
* Soldier's Defense: decreased duration to 1..5 seconds.
|
Fail. Stance spam is not the issue, overpowered martial is the issue. I would not be surprised if forcing Mo/W out of meta actually ends up requiring another defensive slot, leading to super defensive lameway builds.
Quote:

Ranger
* Read the Wind: functionality changed to: "For 24 seconds, your arrows move twice as fast."
|
Fail. The problem was not Ranger damage. The problem was Ranger damage WITH the 33% IAS. Now that flail is gone, this is just a superflous nerf that will only result in this skill rarely if ever being used again.

Ritualist
* Ancestors' Rage: increased duration to 3 seconds; decreased damage to 1..31.
* Weapon of Warding: functionality changed to: "For 5..10 seconds, target ally has a Weapon of Warding, granting that ally +2..4 Health regeneration and a 50% chance to block. Weapon of Warding ends if that ally attacks."
|
Ancestors rage NARFED again. Still viable in some ways though...
As for WoW. I guess its ok. It hurts the C-space builds but encourages more defense by maintaining it on backliners only.

I don't see the logic in nerfing both the more powerful offensive skills for 4v4 play and the more defensive skills for 4v4 play. Sounds like a recipe for pushing imbalance in what ever direction it was headed in already.
Also, I'm disappointed at not seeing anything done to RoJ, mainly that there's no stating that the AI will recognize it as AoE.
Got my 75 tourney points just fine, for those who think there are problems.

my theorycraft happens to be correct.
-if you want a disabling interrupt (at least for axe): disrupting chop
-if you want a energy damage compressor: protector's strike
-if you want a fast recharging energy interrupt: distracting blow
-if you want a interrupt with +damage(for axe): agonizing chop
there isn't a purpose for distracting strike now, hence, it is useless. nobody in their right minds will run it, unless the team has a ton of cracked armor sources.

Anet doesn't know that a 40/40 set isn't 40%.
